I love you, Lostpedia!!
The single of "Everyday" by Buddy Holly was released in July of 1957, over one year
after Locke's birthdate of May 30, 1956. It would be impossible for Emily to have been playing this record the night of John's birth.
Buddy Holly's song "Everyday" is heard in the first flashback. Buddy Holly was a famous victim of a plane crash.
Horace Goodspeed, in Locke's dream, mentions that he has been dead for 12 years. This places the date of the Purge on December 19, 1992 (December 19 being Ben's birthday).
The orderly who told Locke to take a walkabout is named Matthew Abaddon. "Abaddon" is the name of the biblical Angel of the Abyss (Revelation 9:11). The name is Greek for "destruction" or "the destroyer". As a place, it is likened to Sheol or hell.
The man who visited Locke at his birth and when he was 7 is named Richard Alpert. The real-life Dr. Richard Alpert (aka Ram Dass) is a noted psychologist and Hindu spiritualist. In 1963, he was dismissed from Harvard University for his research (in collaboration with Timothy Leary, Aldous Huxley, Allen Ginsberg and others) into psilocybin, LSD-25, and other psychedelic chemicals. He later traveled to India, where he was given his Hindu spiritual name "Ram Dass", which translates as "Servant of God

I am deeply offended by this post. I haven not seen last night's episode yet, and now it's ruined for me. You should really true to think more about others before you post. More importantly, you should think about me. How could you be so selfish?
